Large One Touch Storage Box: What to Do When 25 Cases Isn't Enough

Large One Touch Storage Box: What to Do When 25 Cases Isn't Enough

There is a specific moment in a one touch collection where the math stops working. You bought a box that displays six cases and stores nineteen more, you filled it, and now there are four magnetic cases sitting on the desk next to it because there is nowhere left to put them. Buying a second box of the same size solves it, sort of — but you end up with two half-organized boxes and twelve display slots you can't fill with cards that deserve them.

That's the gap the larger size exists for. Here's what actually changes when you scale a one touch box up, and how to tell which size your collection wants.

What the large size holds

The One Touch Station Large displays eight standard 35pt one touch cases on the exterior and stores roughly thirty more inside under a removable lid — thirty-eight cases total in a single footprint. For comparison, the standard One Touch Station runs six displayed and about nineteen inside, for twenty-five.

The footprint is 10.0" long by 4.2" wide by 5.0" tall (25.3 x 10.7 x 12.8 cm), and the whole thing weighs 15.4 oz. That's worth sitting with for a second: it is a shelf object roughly the length of a hardcover book laid on its side, and it absorbs an entire mid-size magnetic case collection. Most collectors are surprised by how little shelf a box like this actually costs them.

Eight display slots across three sides

The eight exterior slots aren't all on the front. They're spread across three display sides, which changes how the box behaves on a shelf more than the raw slot count suggests.

A front-only display box has one correct orientation — it faces the room, and the two long sides are dead space. A three-sided box works on a corner shelf, on a desk you walk around, or turned ninety degrees so a long side faces out and the end cap becomes the piece people notice first. If you've ever rearranged a shelf and discovered your display box now faces a wall, this is the fix.

It also means the box can serve two audiences at once. Collectors who run both Pokémon and sports tend to want their chase Pokémon card facing the room and their basketball hits on the side they see from the desk chair. Eight slots across three planes makes that a layout decision instead of a compromise.

Inside the vault

The interior is one open bay with an adjustable divider that slides into notched positions under the lid. That divider is doing the unglamorous but essential work: a storage bay that isn't full lets cases lean, and leaning magnetic cases slide against each other. Sliding acrylic is how one touches get hazy edges. Set the divider tight behind your last case and everything stays vertical whether the box is at thirty cases or at eight.

Two more things worth knowing about the interior. It accepts thicker point cases, not just 35pt — the total count drops accordingly, so a bay of 55pt and 75pt cases won't reach thirty, but they fit rather than being locked out. And it's sleeve friendly: cases still wearing a clear protective sleeve or team bag seat properly, which matters if your storage habit is to bag anything that isn't currently on display.

The lid is a solid removable panel, reinforced to stay flat across the full span. On a longer box that reinforcement is the difference between a lid that sits down clean and one that bows in the middle after a week. Expect it to close tight the first few times you use it — that's normal for a printed part with this kind of span, and it loosens with use.

Large or standard? A quick way to decide

Count the magnetic cases you own right now, then answer honestly about the next year.

  • Under twenty cases and slow-growing → the standard One Touch Station. Twenty-five capacity with room to grow into is the right size, and a half-empty large box looks half-empty.
  • Twenty-five or more cases, or a box you've already filled → the large. You're past the point where a second small box is the cheaper answer.
  • You rip regularly and one-touch your hits → the large, earlier than the count suggests. Capacity you grow into beats reorganizing in six months.
  • You want everything visible, nothing stored → neither. A tiered stadium display puts six cases on bleacher-style rows with no vault underneath — pure shelf presence. Our one touch display stand guide covers that decision in full.

Running the two sizes together

The sizes aren't mutually exclusive, and pairing them is a genuinely good setup once a collection gets past forty cases. The common pattern: the large box becomes the main library — everything you own, sorted, with your eight current favorites on the outside — and the standard box becomes a themed satellite. One set. One player. One Pokémon evolution line. Something that reads as a curated group instead of an overflow bin.

Both boxes share the same design language, so a large and a standard side by side look like a set rather than two unrelated purchases. Both ship in black, with custom colors available on request before ordering.

Where it sits in a full collection

Magnetic cases are the middle tier — better than a top loader, short of a graded slab — and the storage should reflect that a collection usually runs all three tiers at once. If you're still working out which cards deserve a one touch in the first place, our guide to organizing magnetic card cases lays out a threshold system that keeps the collection from becoming two hundred half-loved cases in expensive plastic.

Every one touch piece we make is grouped together under one touch storage if you want to compare the sizes and the display-only option side by side. All of it is 3D printed in the USA, printed to order, and ships same day.
